Maintenance
Check out our tips to prevent many common issues and extend the life of your Zanussi Refrigerator.
Regular Cleaning
Ensure that both the interior and exterior of the refrigerator are cleaned regularly. For internal cleaning, switch off the appliance and disconnect it from the electricity supply. Use warm soapy water to clean the interior, and dry thoroughly before reconnecting the appliance. For external cleaning, use warm soapy water as well and ensure that the door gasket is intact and clean.
Defrosting
Defrost the freezer whenever the frost layer reaches a thickness of about 3-5 mm. Switch off the appliance, remove all food items, and use an ice scraper to remove frost. Collect the water in a low-sided container placed beneath the scraper.
Door Closure
Ensure that the refrigerator door is always closed properly. Check that nothing is preventing the door from closing fully and that the door gasket is clean and intact to maintain the appliance's efficiency.
Air Circulation
Avoid obstructing air circulation inside the refrigerator by not covering the gap between the front part of the shelves and the back. This helps maintain the efficiency of the refrigerator.
Avoid Overloading
Do not overload the refrigerator or freezer compartments as this can obstruct air ventilation and affect performance. Make sure to space out food items to allow free air circulation.
